SANYO introduces new ultra-low temperature (ULT) conventionally insulated laboratory freezers

SANYO E & E America, SANYO Scientific division, introduces a new line of lab specific, energy efficient and conventionally insulated freezers that are ideally suited for use in laboratories and hospitals for long-term preservation and storage of research samples, blood, specimens and components, as well as materials testing.

The new product line promotes cost efficient energy consumption and lower heat dissipation which supports SANYO’s ‘Think GAIA’ vision to provide sustainable products that benefit the environment and are ecologically stable.

Marketed as the SANYO MDF-Series ultra-low temperature freezers, the product line includes both 23.5 cu.ft. (MDF-U7386SC) and 17.1 cu.ft. (MDF-U5386SC) models with two insulated inner doors for maximum interior chamber uniformity. MDF-Series ultra-low temperature freezers maintain internal temperatures as low as -86° (-123°F). All models use SANYO designed compressors specifically for ultra-low temperature applications while providing economical advantages for air handling in facilities that manage heat load produced by freezers.

The MDF-Series ultra-low temperature freezer is directed toward customers that require high performance and reliability with energy efficient design, along with a robust cabinet construction, full-feature laboratory conveniences and sophisticated operating systems.

Benefits include: new refrigeration system with SANYO designed compressors built specifically for ultra-low application; easy in / easy out inner door latches; single door handle for easy access; temperature reduction of refrigeration compartment; noise insulation attributes; unique insulated inner doors with foamed in place polyurethane minimize exposure during door openings; multiple door gaskets with magnetic and pressure seals for a tight seal and help minimize frost buildup on the door; heated mullion reduces frost build up on outer door and maintains a tight seal; condenser fan blade design and cooling components mounts are engineered to significantly lower noise level- <47dB; visual and audible Alarms: High Temperature, Low Temperature, Power Failure, Filter/Door check sensor plus remote alarm contacts and key lock

Accessories include a storage system, CO2 backup, chart recorder and extended warranty.
